Provider

Aaron Newman MSN, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C, RN, DC

As a board certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I specialize in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental and physical health conditions. Although, I am comfortable and proficient with treating all psychiatric disorders, my specialties are holistic ADHD treatment, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, depression, binge/emotional eating, and insomnia. My job is to guide you on the path of complete wellness. I adhere to my commitment to excellence and I believe in maintaining a positive mindset, creating partnerships with a purpose, and always striving for significant, holistic growth.

I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, but have also done family medicine, and worked with many other functional, integrative, and holistic-minded practitioners. I am licensed in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Montana, New Mexico and North Dakota to diagnose, provide therapy and education, and to prescribe medications and/or nutritional supplementation for mental and physical health conditions.

Within the practice, I utilize a combination of psychiatric medication, dietary and nutrient support, and therapy with an emphasis on Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Supportive Therapy, Logotherapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am also able to prescribe hormones and support physical complaints such as auto-immunity, low thyroid, digestive problems, adrenal dysfunction, and specific men and women's health issues.

In my experience, not everyone needs medication, so I only utilize medications when they are necessary and appropriate. For those suffering from severe symptoms that are debilitating and affecting their functioning at school, work, or personal relationships, then the combination of medication and therapy is the best approach. I believe that the patient is ultimately the expert in their own health and well-being, and my goal is to work together to develop a treatment plan that is both evidence-based and in-line with their values and goals. I graduated from Herzing University with a Master's degree in nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration. I then trained at Wilkes University with a post-masters degree in Psychiatry and Mental Health. I am nationally accredited as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and Psychiatry across the lifespan by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
